Hi all!  Let me welcome you to Simply Portrayed.  Photography has been a growing passion of mine, from childhood to raising my own.  It has been a pleasure developing a brand over the past four years to help serve the Metro Detroit Area.

I love capturing moments that make the heart smile.  The unplanned snuggle, the unexpected laugh, and that oh-so shy peek of children behind their parents legs.  My hope is that my clients walk away from their session with captured moments and memories, and not just portraits for their walls.  I want you to look at your photos and smile.

From teenage angst to infant cries, I have many years of experience working with children of all ages and I am so glad to be able to continue working with children and their families through photography.  Currently, we specialize in newborn and family photography, couples, maternity and high school senior sessions.  Slowly we are branching out into event photography, so if you have any inquiries or questions, please do not hesitate to ask!   Thank you for stopping by!

Hi my name is Emily Rose and I am so glad to be working with Simply Portrayed.  Photography has always been something I loved and pursued.  I would grab a camera and take pictures of anything or anyone that would sit still long enough to get a good shot...okay, maybe 100 shots.

In the last few years, I have started growing more in my craft and in that, learned more about what I can do through photography.  One of my passions is helping people create that perfect picture, one that they have created in their mind and then put my own spin on it.  Photos last forever and I want to make sure those memories are always special and cherished.  I have enjoyed offering mini sessions for families and children to working with high school seniors reveling in their accomplishments to capturing two people in love that wanted to declare that through their own wedding vows, 

When Amber invited me to shadow in 2013, it ignited an even stronger passion to pursue photography.  I  look forward in continuing to work with clients, capturing those special, unique moments only photos can grasp.
